Aim

The aim of the study is to assess the acceptability of a meningococcal B (MenB) vaccine against Neisseria gonorrhoeae (NG) infections among men who have sex with men.

研究設計

若您同意參與是項研究，您將會接受一個約45-60分鐘的深度訪談，內容包括您的性行為、性病史、使用性病預防服務的情況及對於以乙型腦膜炎球菌疫苗預防淋病感染的看法。

訪談並不會提及個人資料，而內容會被錄音作逐字謄文作後續分析及刊登在學術期刊。這是一項不記名的研究，研究結果包括謄文發表時並不會透露您的個人可識別資料，而個別資料將會保密。請注意訪談內容涉及敏感和有關性行為的問題。參與本次研究沒有可預見的心理，生理，社會，法律，或者經濟危險或得益。完成後您將可獲港幣$100現金券以答謝您的參與。

我們誠意邀請您參加這項研究，參加與否純屬您的個人意願。您可於任何時間退出本項研究。即使您不同意參與，或於其間退出，將不會影響您現時於診所或醫院的診治程序。研究過程中，只有參與此項目研究的工作人員才可以閱覽相關記錄；而研究數據將會保留不多於五年。假如您中途退出，有關資料將會被銷毀，不會被記錄和分析。

Study Design

Should you consent to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete an in-depth interview which takes about 45-60 minutes. Your sexual behaviours, history of sexually transmitted infections (STI), use of STI prevention services, and perceptions about using MenB vaccine to prevent NG infection would be enquired.

Personal information would not be mentioned during the interview, and the interview would be audio recorded for transcription for analyses and publications. This is an anonymous study. Study results and transcripts will be presented without disclosure of personal identifiable information. Results of the study would only be used for global analysis without referral to individual patient. Individual’s information would be treated in strictest confidence. Please be advised however that sensitive questions relating to sexual behaviour are included. Participation is entirely voluntary and will not lead to any foreseeable psychological, physiological, social, legal or commercial risks or benefits. An incentive in the form of a HK$100 cash voucher would be given after completion.

We sincerely invite you to join the study, the participation of which is however entirely voluntary. You can quit this study whenever you wish. Your access to clinical services would not be affected if you refuse to join the study, or request to withdraw after joining. All research data would only be accessible to researchers and their staff. Research data would be stored for no more than five years. In the event that you withdraw from the study, study data would be destroyed, and that these would not be recorded or included in the subsequent analyses.

參加資格

參加者須：

1. 為十八歲或以上男性、過去六個月曾與男性發生性行為
2. 在港居住
3. 能閱讀中文及以廣東話流利溝通

Eligibility criteria

To join the study, you must:

1. be male, aged 18 or above, and had sex with another man within the last 6 months; and
2. live in Hong Kong; and
3. be able to read Chinese and communicate fluently in Cantonese
